Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I have fancied a Volvo for years and have been left a bit disappointed. From a driving, reliability and economy point of view it's been a great car to date. But there are things about this car that just do not make sense. I use the car for work, so long journeys, the cabin storage is just ridiculous considering the cars size, the center console storage is about an inch deep and good for nothing, the door pockets are narrow and shallow and again not a lot of use, the glove box though large is not a lot of use to you when you are driving and want to retrieve something. My previous Golf GTE left the Volvo in the shade in this area.
The lane keeping aid is weak and barely works, the collision avoidance is a PITA as it keeps seeing parked cars and pedestrians on pavements and hitting the brakes. The automatic speed limiter is quite frankly dangerous and can for no apparent reason decide that the motorway speed limit is suddenly 30mph and brake accordingly, not good. I assume that its picking up lower speed limits on adjacent roads? I have the same issue with it on A roads too so that's been disabled! I cannot understand why Volvo buried the driving modes options so deep in the menus, and why this is one of the few functions not available using the excellent voice commands (the best VC system I have ever come across). Using the screen options while driving is just suicidal as all the function buttons are so small, bring back dash buttons.
The car overall is good and I am enjoying it, its averaged an impressive 57MPG over the past 2 years and I don't drive like a vicar, the above are niggles that hopefully have or will be corrected in later variants. Would I choose a Volvo again, probably not. Too many good VAG options out there.
